Add The Hanover Theatre’s incredible production of A Christmas Carol to your list of must do family Holiday traditions! Adapted and directed by Troy Siebels, Executive Director of The Hanover Theatre, this Charles Dickens classic materializes for seven performances only, from December 18-23, 2009.
A Christmas Carol's talented actors, spectacular sets, and special effects thrilled over 17,000 people in 2008, with all performances selling out. With dazzling special effects, timeless music and colorful costumes and scenery, A Christmas Carol tells the tale of curmudgeonly miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future hoping to change his destiny and save his soul. This brilliant musical follows Scrooge through a series of strange and magical journeys, where he ultimately discovers the true spirit of the holiday season. “A Christmas Carol is a timeless story that is every bit as poignant and relevant today as it was when it was written," said Siebels. "We’re excited to be bringing back this production in December. It was our most popular show in 2008, and is a wonderful family tradition.”
“Marley was dead, to begin with.” From the opening line of Dickens’ classic tale to the final “God bless us, everyone;” A Christmas Carol is sure to be one of your family’s best memories this holiday season.
A Christmas Carol is recommended for ages 8 & up. Tickets for kids and students are half price, so the whole family can attend. The theatre encourages business leaders to consider bringing employees and their families as a way to say “thank you” during the holiday season; this year in particular, when a challenging economy may cause some families to scale back on holiday plans.
This production is in partnership with United Way of Central Massachusetts. Generously sponsored by Commerce Bank.
